Who?

We are a couple of blokes who work for the same company (and a Mini that doesn't), looking for something a little different to do in the summer.

Simon - Tony - Dennis

Simon:

Three years ago, Simon decided to do something involving Minis which didn't for once include fixing them, or going to the typical Mini owners shows. Not that there's anything wrong with the shows. It's good to catch up with people, see what other owners are doing with their Minis, trawl through the autojumble etc, but he just wanted to do something else with other Mini owners.

Having done one or two long distance drives in his first Mini (with the odd reliability issue along the way...) he decided that a run like this would be good fun and would have some benefit for someone else at the end of the day. Then came two more...

Three LEJOGs later, there's no stopping him...

Tony:

No stranger to many mile journeys in old cars as a veteran of Staples to Naples in a Rover 216 (and no longer a Mini-based LEJOG virgin either), he's decided (after a little cajoling) to spend another week stuffed into Dennis with Simon.

Oh, that sounds so wrong... if only he'd provide his own content ;-)

Dennis:

Having seen a hard life and over 117,000 miles, Dennis has now completed three LEJOGs having performed perfectly all the way - almost.

There is the possiblity of a little heart engine surgery for Dennis this year, but if that doesn't happen it'll be down to the original which is still performing well even if some of the horses have escaped. At least the rebuilt gearbox is still going...
